Another trailer, 'Terminator: Dark Fate', directed by Tim Miller featuring Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) who pulls back in their iconic roles
Another fresh modified liquid Terminator in Mexico city -- the Rev-9 model -- comes from the future to destroy a factory worker named Dani Ramos, then Grace sent back in time, a hybrid cyborg human must protect Ramos from the seemingly indestructible robotic assassin. But the two women soon find some much-needed help from a pair of unexpected allies -- seasoned warrior Sarah Connor and the T-800 Terminator.
This time around, the pop culture hand-me-down, "I'll be back" (first spoken by Schwarzenegger in The Terminator), makes it to Connor's lips. The line comes at the end of a high-octane action scene early in the film. It hits home in more ways than one. The most significant purpose it serves is to establish Connor's pre-eminent status in this sequel.The film is entertaining enough for the Terminator fans to stay glued to the screen.
Despite maverick filmmaker James Cameron (the director of The Terminator and The Terminator-Judgment Day) on board as writer and producer, Dark Fate relies only on set-pieces. The script never goes beyond the obvious.
The Terminator-Dark Fate is a throwback to the simpler times with a false promise of a better future and that needs an immediate upgrade.
